Job Position: Dog Bather

Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour including $4.00 to $6.00 in tips per hour

Locations: Lake Zurich, Buffalo Grove

Employment Type: OPEN TO HIRE PART TIME or FULL TIME -- 20 hours to 40 Hours

About the Position

The Dog Bather is a fundamental position at Scenthound, offering quick and efficient services that meet Scenthound standards. With plans for multiple locations in Northwest suburbs in Illinois, if you desire growth, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

1. Clean and prep dogs for grooming, according to the order ticket.
2. Bathe, blow dry, clip/grind nails, clean ears, brush coat, clean teeth, express glands.
3. Groom to Scenthound standards (if assigned).
4. Identify dog’s health indicators and input them into a S.C.E.N.T. Check app.
5. Ensure safety of dogs and team members at all times.
6. Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices.
7. Work on a team to complete the services ordered.
8. Assist others/Ask others for assistance when needed to keep Scenter on schedule.
9. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

1. At least 1 year of Dog Bathing experience. Desire to learn Grooming from our Lead Groomer.
2. Knowledge of dog breeds, their grooming and care standards, and tools of the trade.
3. Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time.
4. Reliable transportation.
5. Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment.
