Job summary

Allianceanimalhealth is seeking a Veterinary Technician for our urgent care team in New Hampshire. You will play a critical role in patient care, client communication, and life-saving support in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include restraint, triage, lab work, imaging, anesthesia monitoring, and nursing care for stable and critical patients. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of veterinary technician experience (required).
  • Flexibility to work rotating weekends (required).
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a collaborative attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Veterinary Technician in our urgent care setting, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Safely restrain animals using low‑stress handling techniques
  • Triage and assess incoming patients to prioritize care
  • Collect and analyze laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin, etc.)
  • Perform diagnostic imaging and accurately capture radiographs
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical prep, procedures, and recovery
  • Provide high‑quality nursing care to stable and critical patients
  • Accurately document patient histories and interpret medical records
  • Communicate treatment plans clearly and compassionately to clients
We’re looking for:
  • Minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience (required)

  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a collaborative attitude
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Solid understanding of preventative care, hospital workflow, and surgical procedures
  • Competence in sample collection, lab test processing, radiograph positioning, and anesthetic monitoring
  • The ability to accept and act on constructive feedback to support hospital efficiency
  • A self‑starter mentality with a commitment to continued learning and professional development
