Looking for a Veterinary Assistant role where you can put your hands-on skills to work in an urgent care environment?

Community Pet Healthcare is looking for anUrgent Care Veterinary Assistant to join our team inZionsville, IN!

$18–$21/hour, based on experience

A minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience is required for this position.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys a faster-paced environment, working with a variety of cases, and being part of a team that makes a meaningful difference for pets and their families.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Veterinary Assistant who is confident, compassionate, and comfortable working in an urgent care setting.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of veterinary experience and experience with the following is preferred:

  • Patient handling and restraint
  • Venipuncture
  • Supporting the veterinary team with patient care
  • Working in a fast-paced urgent care environment
  • Communicating effectively with clients and team members
  • Maintaining a positive, team-first attitude

Weekend availability is a must for this position.

The preferred schedule includes:

  • Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
  • One weekday shift
  • Friday: 2:00 PM–8:00 PM availability is required

Schedules may vary based on hospital needs.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • A flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
