A highly respected partner hospital in Matthews, NC is now hiring a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian (DVM). This is an incredible opportunity for a veterinarian seeking a fulfilling role focused solely on urgent care — no routine wellness visits, no abdominal surgeries, and no overnight ER shifts. You’ll be part of a collaborative, Fear Free Certified team in a modern, fully equipped facility where your expertise and time are truly valued.
Urgent care only – treat walk-in, non-critical cases like GI issues, lameness, minor injuries, and palliative care
No abdominal surgeries or routine wellness appointments

Diagnose and manage urgent medical cases with efficiency and compassion
Prescribe medications, perform diagnostics, and recommend next-step care
Communicate clearly with clients regarding care plans and outcomes
Document all patient records in a cloud-based EMR
Collaborate with team members to uphold medical excellence
Support the development of veterinary nurses via the LevelUp training program
DVM or VMD degree (or completion of ECFVG/PAVE)
Licensed or eligible to practice veterinary medicine in North Carolina
1–3 years’ experience in urgent care or small animal medicine preferred (new grads also welcome!)
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication and case management skills
A veterinarian passionate about urgent care and efficient, high-quality medicine
