Job summary

Tempus Recruitment's client operates a privately owned urgent care veterinary hospital in the United States. The role is for an Urgent Care Veterinarian working three 10-hour shifts per week with a base salary in the $180k–$220k range, plus production bonuses and other benefits.

The hospital offers state-of-the-art facilities and potential for expansion of weekday coverage. Open from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Mon-Fri) and 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekends; PTO, CE opportunities, and loan assistance

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with non-critical urgent medical needs and triage incoming cases.
• Perform physical examinations and develop diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Interpret diagnostic results and treat illnesses/injuries.
• Determine when transfer to emergency or specialty care is needed.
• Communicate diagnoses and treatment options to pet owners.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team; coordinate with ER for transfers.
