Tired of the daily caseload of vaccinations, but not quite ready for the full range of critical care cases?Animal Emergency Hospital , located in Bel Air, Maryland, is looking to hire an Urgent Care Veterinarian that focuses on non-critical cases that enter the emergency department.
This position will include care and services of non-critical care cases, to include skin lacerations, vomiting, bite wounds, ear infections, eye and skin issues, etc. The schedule can be flexible, with variable shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours, ideally starting around 4pm on weekdays (or 2pm for longer shifts). Weekend coverage could follow this same pattern or begin earlier in the day, for peak caseload. Let’s chat about your ideal schedule!
We are looking for a team player who is caring, compassionate and dedicated to patients and their owners.Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred, but we are happy to train the right doctor coming from an alternate path!
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range, with full-time, experienced Urgent Care DVM salaries ranging between $165k to $180k! We also provide employer-paid individual health, vision, and dental insurance, 401K with match, professional licenses and dues, CE, personal pet discounts, and Long-Term Incentive Plans (LTIPs) including student loan reimbursement, retention bonuses, andup to 6 weeks of PTO/ sick timebased on tenure!

Our Hospital
We are a 24-hour Emergency/Critical Care Practice providing advanced emergency care for small animals. We have a skilled support staff and a pleasant working environment. Our new hospital offers 15,000 sq ft with 8 exam rooms and 2 surgical suites; all boasting a spacious, organized design focused on client, patient, and staff comfort as well as efficiency.

In-house diagnostic testing and blood work including CBC, Chemistry, Electrolytes, Urinalysis, Coags, blood gas, ionized calcium, In-house quantitative cortisol, pancreatic lipase, Fecal Analysis, PCV / TS, Canine 4Dx, CPL, Parvo, Feline Heartworm, FELV, FIV testing, cytology, etc.
