Animal Care Centers of NYC seeks a licensed veterinarian to join the Emma and Georgina Bloomberg Veterinary Center. This hospital focuses on urgent care with a mission-driven, nonprofit model that prioritizes accessible care for NYC pets regardless of their owners' finances.

You will diagnose and treat animals, perform surgery, and collaborate across teams to deliver compassionate care. The ideal candidate handles challenging medical and surgical cases with confidence, requires minimal

Qualifications

Licensure in NYS to practice veterinary medicine.
DEA eligible.
Internship or 3 years of previous clinical experience in Urgent Care with a demonstrated competency in advanced soft tissue surgery.
Strong surgical and diagnostic skills.
Can confidently work alone.
Fear Free certification desired or must be completed in the first 30 days of employment.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

Successfully mitigate a variety of medical and surgical cases with varying levels of acuity.
Develop trusting relationships with clients which includes clear and compassionate communications.
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and prudent use of resources to maximize the number of animals serve.
Delegate responsibilities to our competent para-professional staff.
Learn, teach, mentor.
Work with Medical Director, LCSW and Practice Manager on case selection.
