Job summary

UrgentVet Lakeland seeks a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to join our after-hours urgent care clinics. The role focuses on canine and feline urgent care with flexible second shift opportunities, no wellness exams, and a team-oriented environment.

We operate paperless clinics with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house lab equipment, empowering efficient, high-quality urgent care. Join a modern, technically strong hospital with mentorship and growth potential.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program).
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state of employed jurisdiction (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
• Collaborate with clinical team and leadership
• Grow relationships within the Lakeland/Orlando community
• Encourage growth of support staff through internal LevelUp training
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours
