A partner hospital in Springfield, MA, is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for veterinarians experienced in emergency and overnight care, offering a unique chance to provide compassionate care without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency and urgent care to animals in need, focusing on common cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia
  • Perform diagnostic tests and administer treatments, including medications and fluids
  • Monitor patient vital signs and ensure proper care throughout the treatment process
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care and communicate with clients about their pets' condition
  • Maintain accurate medical records using a cloud-based EMR system

Qualifications:

  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school (or completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
  • Active veterinary license in good standing to practice in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain one)
  • 1-2 years of experience in emergency and/or overnight care
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment
