Bedford Pet Urgent Care, part of Bedford Veterinary Medical Center, seeks a veterinary technician for after-hours and weekend urgent care. Responsibilities include triage, lab work, imaging, anesthesia support, and client communication. A positive attitude and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year tech experience.
• Rotating weekend availability.
• High work ethic and positive attitude.
• Arrive on time and ready to work.
• Exceptional customer service and precise communication.
• Interpret medical records and client history accurately.
• Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow.
• Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner.
• Proficient in sample collection (blood, urine, fecal, skin).
• Proficient in lab sample processing and tests.
• Proficient in anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery.
• Proficient in radiograph positioning and capture.

Responsibilities

• Restrain animals and triage incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples and perform diagnostic imaging.
• Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly to clients.
• Assist in surgical preparation and anesthesia management.
• Maintain hospital efficiency and respond to feedback professionally.
