Job summary

Rarebreed Veterinary Partners in Albany, NY seeks a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will assist doctors and technicians, educate clients, and help with radiographs and in-house bloodwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in veterinary care or urgent care settings.
• Urgent care or ER experience preferred but not required.
• Able to commit to evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist DVM and technicians with patient restraint and medical treatments.
• Communicate effectively with clinical team and clients.
• Educate clients on medications, treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Obtain radiographs and perform in-house bloodwork.
• Clean exam rooms and replenish inventory as needed.
