Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program that includes phlebotomy training.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput and keep patients informed of delays.
• Performs venipuncture and IV-related tasks; assists with examinations as needed.
• Prepares patients for visits and maintains exam/treatment rooms and supplies.
• Documents and verifies patient demographics and collects payments as required.
