Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program that includes phlebotomy training.
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
• Certification: RMA/CCMA/NCCT/MA Cert per Kaiser preferences.
• Completion of Kaiser Permanente Medical Assistant competencies within 60 days and annually thereafter.

Aufgaben

• Coordinates flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput and keeps patients informed of delays.
• Observes patients and notifies provider if distress is detected.
• Prepares patients for examination and assists during and after procedures.
• Performs Medical Assistant duties; includes Foley catheter insertion, splinting, venipuncture, and point-of-care testing.
