Job summary

Midwest Physicians Administrative Services, LLC dba Duly Health and Care in Hinsdale is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Immediate Care team. This full-time role offers 36 hours weekly with shifts 8am-8pm Mon-Fri and 8am-4pm on weekends, with night/weekend differential. Travel to other sites may be required.

You will support nursing and medical staff, perform venipuncture and IVs, triage, assist with procedures, and help ensure patient comfort and safety while documenting care in EPIC.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• EMT-Paramedic certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS required.
• ITLS certifications a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years in an acute care environment.
• 1-2 years of experience starting IVs, drawing blood, and administering injections.
• Phlebotomy certification within 6 months may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing and medical staff under RN/PA/NP/Physician supervision.
• Perform patient care tasks to ensure care, comfort, and safety.

Job Overview

Medical Assistant – Hinsdale – Immediate Care Position Highlights: Full Time / 36 Hours. Hours: 8am to 8pm M-F, 8am to 4pm Sat/Sun. 2-3 weekday shifts per week and every other weekend. (Differential pay is offered for nights and weekends)

Location: Hinsdale. Travel: as needed to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care to ICC and Express Care patients.
• Assist nursing and medical staff under the direction of a RN, PA, NP, or Physician.
• Perform patient care tasks and procedures as needed to ensure care, comfort, and safety.
• Perform venipuncture, IV insertion/removal, vital signs, and other assigned procedures.
• Triaging patients, assessing urgency, and determining appropriate care or transfer.
• Draw blood, start IVs, administer injections, assist with ambulation, specimen collection (urine, sputum, feces, phlebotomy), acquisition of 12-lead ECGs, wound asepsis, and wound care.
• Apply orthopedic splints, temporary casting, and educate patients on crutch/walker/cane usage.
• Assist with suturing, dressing changes, wound cleansing, and procedural set‑ups as directed.
• Respond to call lights and assist with activities of daily living.
• Participate in quality improvement and sustainability activities and document patient care activities (triage assessments in EPIC, ADLs, vital signs, weights, procedures/treatments).
• Maintain inventory, department cleanliness, and re-stock supplies; check daily carts; empty/replace waste receptacles and needle bins.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• EMT-Paramedic certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
• International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certifications a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in an acute care environment (ER, Immediate Care Center, or ambulance).
• At least 1-2 years of experience starting IVs, drawing blood, and administering injections.
• May be required to complete Phlebotomy certification within 6 months of employment.

Compensation

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57; EMT-P's is $20.59-30.89/hour with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
