Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an Urgent Care Technician to support both Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine. You will perform intake, gather medical history, obtain vital signs, and prepare patients and rooms for visits.

Responsibilities include assisting nursing staff, performing point-of-care testing, and coordinating with providers for specialty care and follow-ups while maintaining a smooth, patient-centered workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Medical terminology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient acuity in waiting areas, escorts patients to exam rooms, completes intake by gathering medical history and obtaining vital signs, and prepares the patient and room by setting up necessary instruments and equipment for the visit.
• Schedules patients for advanced care with specialty providers, workers compensation follow ups, and other clinical services as needed.
• Performs point-of-care testing per protocol, and ensures proper cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of equipment and exam rooms.
• Assists nursing staff and Providers to support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all patients.
