Job summary

CityVet in Westminster, CO is seeking an Urgent RVT to join our vet-led clinics. The role involves performing essential RVT duties, assisting in urgent cases, and maintaining thorough patient records. Dental experience is a plus, with training available.

Qualifications

• Veterinary clinical experience in general practice, specialty or emergency.
• Must be LVT, RVT, or PVT with Colorado license or pending license with DORA.
• Surgical and anesthesia experience required, sterile technique, emergency surgeries, and handling of controlled substances protocols.
• Ability to triage critical patients and proactively manage a busy caseload.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in all Veterinary Technician duties.
• Comfortable and confident running anesthesia on critical cases.
• Completion and accuracy of patient records, treatment sheets, lab sheets, radiology logs, and laboratory logs.
• Compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, Bio-Hazard requirements.
• Ensure proper housekeeping procedures.
• Experience with dental procedures is desired and training is available.
