Job summary

Qualifications

  • Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent.
  • Maintains a current license to work in the State of Rhode Island.
  • Must hold current ARRT certification.
  • Basic life support certification required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the Brown University Health, with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.

Responsibilities

  • Follows workflow protocols to maximize quality and efficiency.
  • Explain radiologic exams, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures to patients.
  • Protect patient privacy and confidentiality per policies.
  • Position patients and perform radiographic exams to produce optimum results.
  • Transfer images to PACS for physician review.
  • Place EKG leads and ensure tracings are recorded and filed.
  • Maintain department equipment, supplies, and safety procedures.
  • Train new Urgent Care Radiology Techs as needed.
