Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) in Danbury seeks a Radiologic Technologist (RT) to balance high-quality imaging with clinical support duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will perform X-ray exams, follow ALARA, and collaborate with providers to ensure timely care.

Requirements include ARRT certification, current BLS, 1+ year imaging in urgent care/ER, strong EMR documentation, and willingness to cover MA/MR duties.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified in good standing with RTlicense where required.
• Current BLS certification.
• 1+ year urgent care/ER imaging experience.
• Strong insurance verification and EMR documentation skills.
• Willing to cover MA/MR duties.
• Experience in radiology, CT, or MRI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology (X-ray) exams following ALARA.
• Work as X-Ray Technologist while supporting urgent care operations.
• Collaborate with providers for timely care.
• Triage, labs, venipuncture, wound care when not imaging.
• Support MR tasks: verification, registration, payment collection.
• Maintain equipment QC and logs.
