Job summary

NextCare is seeking a hands-on Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Medical Assistant in Arizona. You will perform radiology duties, assist with exams, administer medications, and ensure patient safety.

The role requires ARIZONA PTR license and CMA/AMT-credentialed options, with EMR/EHR proficiency and patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will support providers, handle specimen processing, and participate in quality control while maintaining strict safety and

Qualifications

• Must hold a current PTR license in Arizona.
• Completed an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• Current healthcare CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology duties within scope of practice and NextCare policies.
• Assist providers with exams, patient vitals, and procedures.
• Administer medications under provider direction and safety protocols.
• May collect urine for testing, including employer drug screens.
• May perform splinting and casting and conduct sports physicals.
• Provide wound care and oxygen administration as needed.
• Notify provider on duty of unusual patient occurrences and safety concerns.
• Maintain EMR/EHR proficiency and adherence to charting standards.
