Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Staff Psychologist to provide brief mental health assessments and interventions within an Urgent Care setting. The role supports Veterans through fast-paced, collaborative care in PCMHI/PMCHI environments.

The incumbent will conduct evidence-based treatments, participate in care coordination, and work Monday–Friday with potential incentives. This position requires licensure and a psychology doctoral degree from an APA/CPA-accredited program.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology from APA/CPA-accredited program OR equivalent with re-specialization requirements.
• License to practice psychology in a U.S. state/territory/DC (full, current, unrestricted).
• Completion of APA/CPA-accredited internship or equivalent supervised experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief, evidence-based mental health assessments and interventions in urgent care settings.
• Deliver 20–30 minute behavioral health visits with 1–6 encounters per Veteran.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Urgent Care teams to coordinate care.
