Job summary

Aems is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries across all ages in a fast-paced clinical environment, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting clinic operations.

Schedule features three 12-hour shifts (8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.) on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with possible Sunday coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program.
• Current Nevada NP/PA licensure.
• Current DEA registration and prescribing authority.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat across the lifespan.
• Urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries across all ages.
• Perform triage, differential diagnosis, and manage patient care plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging as needed.
• Perform urgent care procedures (suturing, wound care, I&D, splinting).
• Educate patients, document encounters, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to maintain clinic flow and safety.
