Job summary

ACEP Now in Savannah/Statesboro, GA seeks an Urgent Care Physician (MD/DO) to provide part-time and per diem locum coverage. Shifts are 12 hours, with a Sunday-Saturday schedule and no minimum commitment, starting ASAP with August and September 2026 availability.

The physician will perform exams, evaluate and treat patients across all ages, averaging 3–4 patients per hour, in clinics equipped with on-site lab and X-ray, supported by a strong team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Georgia medical license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Active DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS and PALS are a plus).
• Must be comfortable treating pediatric patients age 2 and older.
• Experience evaluating and treating children 2+ in urgent care.

Responsibilities

• Provide part-time and per diem locum coverage in the Savannah/Statesboro area.
• Perform physical exams, evaluate and treat patients in the urgent care center.
• Manage an average of 3–4 patients per hour across all age groups.
• Utilize on-site laboratory and X-ray services with strong support staff.

Job Type: Locum Tenens - Per Diem / Part-Time

Position Overview

The physician will perform physical exams, evaluate and treat patients presenting to the urgent care center, and manage an average of 3 4 patients per hour across all age groups.

These are new, well-equipped clinics with a strong support team, including on-site laboratory and X-ray services.

Requirements

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Georgia medical license
  
• Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) - required, no exceptions
  
• Active DEA registration
  
• Current BLS certification (ACLS and PALS are a plus)
  
• Must be comfortable treating pediatric patients age 2 and older
  
• Must have strong confidence and experience evaluating and treating children 2+
  
• Comfortable seeing 3 4 patients per hour in a fast-paced urgent care environment
