UnityPoint Clinic in Cedar Rapids and Marion, Iowa, is actively recruiting an Urgent Care Physician to join our team. This full-time role features an 8am-8pm schedule with rotating weekends, no inpatient responsibilities, and an integrated EPIC EMR for care coordination.

The ideal candidate will be MD or DO, Board Eligible/Certified in Family or Emergency Medicine, with US work eligibility and Iowa license.

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine and/or Emergency Medicine
• American board of Urgent Care medicine certification preferred, but not required
• Ability to care for all ages
• Unrestricted Iowa license to practice
• Prescribe and administer medications as appropriate
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)

Responsibilities

• Seeing an average of 4-6 patients/hour
• Provide medical treatment for minor illnesses and injuries to all ages
• Excellent assessment skills
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• On-site lab collection and imaging
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

• Full-time position with flexible scheduling
  • 8am-8pm Monday – Friday; 8am-3pm Saturday and Sunday
• Average 14 shifts per month
• 1:3 rotating weekend shifts
• 2 Providers per shift
• No call requirements or inpatient responsibilities
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
• Epic integration with an option for patient’s to “reserve your spot” online
