We seek a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy who has completed Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine residency and is board eligible or board certified. Active CA license and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• Residency in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine completed.
• Truly board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• CA Medical License active in good standing.
• DEA certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Urgent Care Medicine using 12-hour shifts with 1-hour break.
• Full-time: 12 shifts per month, 2 on-call shifts, manage 4 mid-level providers.
• Part-time: minimum 6 shifts per month, manage up to 4 mid-level providers.
• Treat 4 patients per hour across ages from newborns to geriatrics.
• Perform bread-and-butter procedures and use in-house Point-of-Care testing and X-ray.
• EMR VelociDoc with Dragon dictation for rapid documentation.

Position: Urgent Care Staff Physician

Location: Bakersfield, CA

1099: Full-time, Part-time, & PRN Available

Salary: $150/hour

Bonus: $100,000 Sign-On for Full-Time Only

Stipend: $60,000/year for Medical Directorship

Job Overview: We are hiring a Staff Urgent Care Physician with the Advancement of a Medical Directorship in Bakersfield, CA.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Urgent Care Medicine, practicing twelve-hour (12) shifts with a 1-hour break.
• Full-time is 12 shifts per month, 2 on-call shifts per month, and managing 4 mid-level providers.
• Part-time will be a minimum of 6 shifts per month and managing up to 4 mid-level providers.
• Treat 4 patients per hour, from newborns to geriatrics (full-spectrum care), in a low-acuity setting.
• Bread & Butter Procedures: I&Ds, Toenail Removal, and Laceration Repair.
• Equipment: In-house Point-of-Care testing and X-ray.
• All X-rays are over-read by a Board-Certified Radiologist, with results available within 20 minutes for routine orders.
• Easy-to-use EMR: VelociDoc with Dragon dictation and document all patients in one minute

Minimum Requirements | Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.)
• Completion of a formal Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Training Program
• Truly Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• CA Medical License that is active and in good standing
• DEA Certificate
