GoHealth Urgent Care in Danbury, CT is seeking Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for per diem shifts across multiple centers. Providers will float between Danbury, Fairfield, Brookfield, Stamford, and Norwalk locations.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
• Education: Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
• Work Experience: 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
• Work Experience: Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required
• Work Experience: Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred
• Licenses/Certifications: Required Licenses/Certifications
• Licenses/Certifications: National Certification
• Licenses/Certifications: Active state medical licensure
• Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting
• Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.
• Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills
• Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Strong communication and customer service skills

Essential Functions

• Examining and treating patients
• Taking patients’ medical histories
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
• Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
• Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
• Educating and counseling patients
• Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
• Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
• Each provider will work an anticipated four (4), eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift which will be assigned by an authorized representative of GoHealth Urgent Care
• All other duties as assigned
