Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join its Urgent Care team in Texas. The PA will provide direct patient care, execute work under supervising physicians, and manage patient treatment plans, including drug therapies, diagnostics, and counseling.

This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, documentation, and collaboration with the care team to deliver timely, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Current Texas PA license and NCCPA certification; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and conducts comprehensive or problem-focused examinations.
• Orders, collects, and interprets laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
• Prescribes medications and other therapies; develops treatment plans.
• Counsels patients and families on medical processes, medications, and health promotion.
• Maintains patient records and facilitates referrals when needed.
