  • Develop and implement outcomes-based treatment plans and monitor progress.
  • Counsel patients and families on medical processes, medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
  • Maintain treatment records and coordinate referrals as needed.
  • Provide consults for conditions within the PA's scope and training.
  • Perform delegated invasive procedures.
  • May assist with patient-care duties beyond regular hours as needed.

Physician Assistant (PA) – Urgent Care – Baylor Scott & White Health, Frisco

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated Physician Assistant with a passion for urgent care to join our dynamic Urgent Care Team in Frisco, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the physical and mental condition of patients by performing comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories.
  • Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.
  • Prescribe, recommend, or employ medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments, and perform indicated procedures in accordance with approved policies, with attention to efficacy, safety, and cost.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans, evaluate patient response, and assess effectiveness of care.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
  • Maintain records detailing patient treatment plans and outcomes; initiate timely consultation and referral when needed.
  • Provide consultation-level services for conditions related to the PA’s specialty and training.
  • Perform invasive procedures as delegated by supervising physician.
  • May be required to perform patient‑care duties beyond regular schedule based on department coverage needs.
