Job summary

NextCare is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team at Nassau Bay clinic in Houston, TX. The role offers autonomy, clinical variety, and the support of a national urgent care organization.

Typical schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week with no after-hours inboxes, enabling work-life balance. Providers care for all ages with a broad range of acute conditions under experienced leadership.

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA practicing in Texas with current credentials.
• Post-graduate clinical experience in urgent care or high-volume outpatient settings.
• Ability to work independently within clinical scope and adhere to NextCare standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients of all ages.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging as needed.
• Perform urgent care procedures including suturing, wound care, and splinting.
• Document care accurately in the EHR and maintain appropriate productivity.
• Collaborate with clinic staff and provide leadership in clinical decisions.
