Job summary

NextCare in Nassau Bay, Houston, TX, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team at Nassau Bay clinic. You will provide care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced setting with clinical autonomy and strong leadership support.

Typical schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, with no after-hours inboxes and advance scheduling to support life outside work. Aggressive collaboration with an experienced clinical team is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate clinical experience.
• Urget care / high-volume outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, minor injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound care.
• Provide clear diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR.
• Maintain productivity appropriate for a fast-paced urgent care setting.
• Collaborate with clinic staff and medical leadership.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare standards and values.
