Job description

We are an established medical practice serving Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and the surrounding areas, specializing in evaluations for patients with swallowing disorders. Currently, we are seeking additional physicians to join our team. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, and all physicians with various levels of experience are encouraged to apply. During training, compensation will be provided.

The practice is part of a network with sister practices in New England and Texas.

Benefits and annual income for working 4 to 5 days a week range approximately from $160,000 to $225,000 or more, depending on volume. Benefits include health coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, and an educational stipend. There are no weekend or night call requirements, and malpractice coverage (including tail coverage) is paid for by the practice. Over a 19-year period, with more than 400,000 evaluations, we have not had any malpractice inquiries or actions.

Midwest Dysphagia Consultants' mission is to provide professional dysphagia consultations, including modified barium swallow studies, for patients with swallowing difficulties. These consultations are delivered using a mobile unit, as shown on our website.

We serve various facilities, private offices, and homebound patients, with physicians and speech-language pathologists requesting swallowing studies from our mobile unit. Requests are routed through our office staff and are scheduled 95% of the time within 24 to 72 hours of receipt. Whenever possible, appointments are scheduled the same day, depending on volume and location. We aim to ensure our staff is home between 4:00 and 5:00 PM daily.
