Job summary

Dayton Children’s in Huber Heights is seeking a PCA II to join the Kids Express and Urgent Care Services team. This full-time role (36 hours weekly) supports both clinical care and clerical duties, focusing on patient comfort and smooth flow through the department.

Your responsibilities include taking vital signs, monitoring weight and height, stocking rooms, and assisting the RN or physician to deliver timely pediatric care with compassionate service.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• PCA training or actively enrolled in a health care related education program.
• CPR Certification required.
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care and maintain the patient care environment.
• Work across clinical and clerical functions with scheduled hours.
• Take vital signs, weight, and height per policy or as directed by physician.
• Assist RN or physician, order tests and supplies as needed, support patient flow.
• Interact with department staff to maintain timely patient flow and quality service.

Facility: Outpatient Care Center - Huber Heights Department: Kids Express and Urgent Care Services Schedule: Full time Hours: 36

The PCA II delivers basic patient care and provides comfortable measures to maintain the patient care environment. This position will have scheduled hours in both the clinical function and clerical function of the department and performs routine clinical skills for patient care, which includes taking vital signs, weight, height, per policy or as directed by physician or nurse. The PCA II is responsible for patient flow, chaperoning, stocking of rooms, ordering of tests and supplies. The PCA II is also responsible for service delegated by the RN or physician and interacts with other department personnel to maintain timely patient flow to provide appropriate care and quality customer service.
