The Opportunity
ConvenientMD is seeking a dedicated Paramedic who is a nationally registered EMT to join our team as an Urgent Care Technician. As a vital clinical team member, you will provide high-quality care to our patients, work alongside medical providers, and contribute to a supportive, collaborative environment. Your Impact
- Patient Care & Triage: Conduct comprehensive patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations to identify immediate healthcare needs. Assist with patient exams, ensuring necessary equipment and documentation are prepared, while supporting providers during testing and procedures.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform diagnostic and testing procedures (vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, spirometry, and more). Execute point-of-care testing (strep, flu, RSV, SARS-CoV-2, glucose, lipid panel, urinalysis). Provide cardiac and airway management (ECGs, AED use, nebulizer treatments, oxygen). Deliver wound care, immunizations, and medication administration per federal and state regulations.
- Patient Engagement & Documentation: Assist with patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans. Maintain accurate electronic medical records and document patient histories and treatment details. Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions and take necessary action.
- Clinic Operations: Ensure instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained per policies. Maintain a stocked and sterile workspace to support smooth operations.
- Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient care. Communicate effectively with providers and healthcare professionals to relay information. Welcome and support the training of new team members.
Required Availability
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive or non-consecutive days.
- For full-time: three 12-hour shifts per week with at least four shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- For part-time: two 12-hour shifts per week with at least two shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- For per diem: four 12-hour shifts per month, ideally one shift per week.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- If needed, must be able to work at a minimum of three other ConvenientMD locations within a one-hour travel distance from the primary clinic.
- Required to travel for training shifts outside the primary clinic within a one-hour commute.
Who You Are
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification and experience: Licensed paramedic (preferably nationally certified) with prior IV placement and monitoring experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross. We do not accept CPR, ACLS, or online-only classes.

- Technically savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to learn Experity and other systems.
Bonus Qualifications
- 1–2 years of patient triage experience in urgent care or ED preferred.
