Job summary

NextCare is hiring a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for an urgent care clinic in Lincoln, NE. This full-time role offers three 12-hour shifts with clinic hours typically 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week, including rotating weekends and some holidays.

The clinician will diagnose, treat, and manage acute illnesses and injuries, order diagnostics, and provide patient education in a fast-paced, supportive environment with strong clinical leadership and a focus on work-life

Qualifications

• Board certification as applicable: PA NCCPA certification or NP ANCC/AANP certification (FNP required)
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
• DOT certification - willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
