Job summary

BAS HealthCare seeks a Board Certified Urgent Care provider for coverage across Richmond, VA clinics. This 100% outpatient role involves seeing patients ages birth to end of life, with 12+ hour shifts during 8:00 AM–8:00 PM. Expect 25–50 patients daily, case mix includes lacerations, I&D, wound care, and point‑of‑care testing.

Licensure: Virginia license, board certification, BLS and DEA. Locum to perm options, weekly pay, and malpractice included. Credentialing 60–90 days.

Qualifications

• Virginia license required and board certification in urgent care or EM.
• Active BLS and DEA required prior to credentialing.
• Minimum 1 year of ED/ER/urgent care experience in outpatient setting.
• Locum-to-perm possibility with 3 shifts per week per provider.
• Clean malpractice history with no license issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services across multiple Richmond locations.
• Perform laceration repair, I&D, foreign body removal, and minor burns.
• Skilled wound care, splinting, casting, and joint reductions as needed.
• Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests including X-ray, EKG, and rapid labs.
• Document in Epic EMR and ensure patient care from arrival to discharge.
