Job summary

Covenant Health in Lenoir City, TN seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join Urgent Care. This full-time role involves day shifts and a 72-hour per pay period schedule, working under a physician preceptor to provide primary care in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient education, documentation, and collaboration with the care team to deliver timely, evidence-based treatment in accordance with established protocols and Medicare guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must meet the State's requirements as a Nurse Practitioner.
• CPR required.
• Must have and maintain one of the applicable certifications as outlined.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Collaborates with physician preceptor to formulate and review medical protocols.
• Obtains complete medical history of the patient.
• Identifies health hazards in the patient's environment as well as patient risk factors; considers cultural patterns, economic status, and resources in plan of care.
• Performs appropriate physical exams as indicated.
• Obtains appropriate laboratory specimens.
• Analyzes data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensures treatment and plan of care align with established protocols.
