Position:Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Location:Killingly, CT
Schedules: Full-time
Salary Range:$ 132,652 - 172,395 / year
Bonus:Monthly( based on volumes )&Quarterly( based on patient satisfaction and quality metrics)
Shift Differentials apply in addition for evening and weekends
We are seeking experiencedPhysician Assistants or Nurse Practitionerswho have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers in Killingly and surrounding region.
Job Summary
Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.

Essential Functions
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. Following are the essential functions of the job.
- Examining and treating patients
- Taking patients’ medical histories
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
- Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
- Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
- Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
- Educating and counseling patients
- Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
- Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
- Each provider will work an anticipated four (4), eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift which will be assigned by an authorized representative of GoHealth Urgent Care
- All other duties as assigned
