Job summary

Peachtree Immediate Care, a CRH Healthcare company, is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Lithonia, Georgia team. This on-site role offers three 12-hour shifts, autonomy in patient care, and meaningful community impact.

You will evaluate and treat a broad range of acute illnesses, perform urgent care procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a superior patient experience.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Georgia NP or PA license.
• Current certification as FNP or PA.
• At least two years of clinical experience as FNP or PA-C.
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to perform urgent care procedures and interpret X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Perform suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays and labs.
• Prescribe medications per Georgia regulations and clinic protocols.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow‑up care.
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure high‑quality care.

What You Will Do

As an Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider, you will evaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
• Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Georgia regulations and clinic protocols
• Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
• Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
• Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
• Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
