Job summary

OnPoint Medical Group’s Urgent Care division seeks an experienced NP or PA for PRN work across our six Denver metro locations. You will evaluate and treat patients of all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting, collaborating with physicians and supportive staff to maintain high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications include active Colorado NP/PA license, DEA, BLS/ACLS, and at least one year in urgent care or emergency medicine; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Colorado Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Current, unrestricted DEA registration
• Minimum of one year of urgent care or emergency medicine experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Experience evaluating and treating patients across the lifespan
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize emergent conditions
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient-service skills
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-volume setting
• Must have Urgent Care Experience and be able to see all age groups

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries across all age groups
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging within the applicable standard of care
• Identify patients requiring a higher level of care and coordinate timely referrals or transfers
• Consult with physicians and outside specialists as appropriate
• Provide clear follow-up instructions and patient education
• Complete timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record
• Support efficient patient flow while maintaining clinical quality and safety
• Respond appropriately to urgent and potentially life-threatening conditions
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and their families
• Collaborate with and mentor clinical support staff
• Assist with the orientation and clinical guidance of new providers and team members as needed
• Address patient concerns professionally and help resolve service-related issues
• Report equipment or supply needs to the appropriate clinical leader

What You'll Do

Schedule

This is a PRN position with shifts scheduled according to organizational needs and provider availability. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required to support uninterrupted urgent care operations.

Compensation And PRN Benefits

• Hourly rate: $62-$72 per hour
• Hourly patient-volume incentives
• Paid sick time accrual

The compensation range represents the typical range for candidates hired into this position. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, specialized skills, internal equity, and other job-related considerations.

Physical and Work Environment

This position is based in a clinical urgent care environment and requires periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift. The provider must be able to operate standard clinical and office equipment and calmly manage challenging or confrontational situations.
