Job summary

OnPoint Urgent Care, part of OnPoint Medical Group, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a PRN urgent care role in Aurora, CO. The provider will evaluate and treat patients across all ages in a fast-paced setting, with support from physicians and a strong clinical team.

The position requires an active DEA, BLS/ACLS, and preferably PALS. Evening, weekend, and holiday coverage may be needed to sustain uninterrupted urgent care operations.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
• Minimum of one year of urgent care or emergency medicine experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS certification strongly preferred.
• Experience evaluating and treating patients across the lifespan.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize emergent conditions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries across all age groups.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging within the applicable standard of care.
• Identify patients requiring a higher level of care and coordinate timely referrals or transfers.
• Consult with physicians and outside specialists as appropriate.
• Provide clear follow-up instructions and patient education.
• Complete timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Support efficient patient flow while maintaining clinical quality and safety.
• Respond appropriately to urgent and potentially life-threatening conditions.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with and mentor clinical support staff.
• Assist with the orientation and clinical guidance of new providers and team members as needed.
• Address patient concerns professionally and help resolve service-related issues.

What You’ll Do

Schedule

Compensation and PRN Benefits

• Hourly rate: $62-$72 per hour

The compensation range represents the typical range for candidates hired into this position. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, specialized skills, internal equity, and other job-related considerations.

Physical and Work Environment

This position is based in a clinical urgent care environment and requires periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift. The provider must be able to operate standard clinical and office equipment and calmly manage challenging or confrontational situations.
