Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join an inter-professional team delivering high-quality care in outpatient settings, telehealth visits, and occupational medicine.

You will obtain patient histories, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, and manage health conditions with prescriptive authority under Medical Director supervision. Collaboration, quality improvement, patient education, and ongoing professional development are essential to this role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed in the state as an APRN.
• PA license and certification required or eligible.
• BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
• Prescriptive Authority eligible in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in outpatient/urgent care, telehealth, and occupational medicine settings.
• Perform and interpret radiology tests, labs, EKGs and minor procedures as needed.
• Educate patients and families; participate in quality improvement and staff development.
