Job summary

HCH brand is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for urgent care per diem coverage in Napoleon, Ohio. The role is on-site and part-time, providing flexible coverage for call offs and vacations across the urgent care team.

The ideal candidate is Ohio-licensed as an RN and APRN or a PA licensed in Ohio, with BLS certification and prior urgent care experience. Knowledge of independent practice within a physician-PA team is required; national boards preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for Nursing and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses; currently licensed in Ohio as an RN and APRN, CNP and BLS certified.
• Or graduate of an AMA-accredited Physician Assistant program; licensed in Ohio as PA with BLS certification.
• National Board of Medical Examiner certification or Board eligible is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care independently or with physicians and health care team.
• Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage common acute and chronic illnesses in urgent care.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe pharmacological and nonpharmacological therapies.
• Educate and counsel individuals, families, and groups on health maintenance and disease prevention.
