Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Virginia or eligible required.
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies required.
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Virginia License or eligible, required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• Proficient leadership skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Performs and provides treatments for minor acute illness and patient examinations.
• Determines abnormal conditions by ordering/interpretating tests (x-ray, ECG, labs).
• Performs injections, suturing, wound and infection management.
• Instructs and counsels patients on regimens and wellness.
• Develops care plans, records progress, and may supervise staff.
• Prescribes medications and refers to specialists when needed.
• Coordinates services with colleagues and departments; remains calm under stress.
• Maintains professionalism and empathetic patient relationships.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
