Job summary

UCSF Health, in partnership with GoHealth Urgent Care, seeks experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with urgent care or emergency room experience to join our San Francisco Bay Area team.

We are considering fulltime, part-time or PRN schedules; care for both adult and pediatric patients; perform minor procedures; interpret EKGs and X-rays; collaborate with Scribes and Rad Techs in state-of-the-art EPIC EMR centers.

Qualifications

• 1 year of fulltime Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience required.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients (all ages) required.
• Comfortable with minor procedures and prelim reads on EKGs/X-rays.
• Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• PA: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification required.
• NP: Master’s degree and appropriate certification (AANC/AANP) required.

Responsibilities

• Treat both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages, 6 months and up).
• Perform minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints) and provide EKG/X-ray reads.
• Make diagnoses and prescribe treatments/medications.
• Collaborate with a Scribe at busier centers.
• Work in centers with advanced technology and EPIC EMR.
• Collaborate with on-site Rad Techs and Medical Assistants for support.
• Dedicated Urgent Care Specialty — exclusively urgent care medicine.
