Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program
• CT APRN or PA license (or eligibility)
• FNP or NCCPA certification
• Minimum of 1 year Urgent Care / Emergency Medicine / acute care experience
• Comfortable treating patients of all ages

Responsibilities

• Treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
• Laceration repair, suturing, and staple removal
• Incision and drainage procedures
• Splinting and casting
• Wound care management
• EKG interpretation
• Preliminary X-ray interpretation
• IV therapy and medication administration
• DOT, occupational, sports, and school physicals
• Care for patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

Connecticut APRN or PA license (or eligibility)

FNP Board Certification or NCCPA Certification

Minimum of one year Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or comparable acute care experience

Comfortable treating patients of all ages
