Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join its Urgent Care team in the DFW area. You will provide direct patient care with prescriptive authority, collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver timely, high-quality service across age groups.

Qualifications include Texas NP licensure, RN license (compact), BLS within 30 days, and board certification for the patient population focus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Current Texas NP license and RN license with compact privilege.
• Board certification as APRN for the patient population focus.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and mental condition and obtain histories.
• Prescribe and manage medications and therapies within scope.
• Develop outcomes-based treatment plans with physicians as needed.
• Counsel patients and families on care, medications, and lifestyle.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate referrals as appropriate.
• Provide consultation for conditions related to their specialty.
• Perform procedures within the practitioner’s scope as delegated.
