Job summary

MedNOW Clinics in Denver is seeking a dependable Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality urgent care in a fast-paced setting.

You will evaluate and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries, order tests, coordinate ED transfers when needed, and ensure accurate documentation in Athenahealth, while collaborating with physicians and staff.

This full-time role requires Saturdays and offers professional growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Colorado Nurse Practitioner license.
• Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain and maintain DEA registration before independently prescribing controlled substances.
• Appropriate Colorado prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience evaluating and treating acute illnesses and injuries.
• Ability to independently perform histories, examinations, differential diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Follow Saturdays as a regular part of the schedule.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses, minor injuries, and urgent needs.
• Obtain histories, perform exams, form differential diagnoses and evidence-based plans.
• Coordinate higher level care when needed and arrange transfers.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, EKGs and diagnostics.
• Provide education on diagnoses, medications, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Athenahealth.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and clinic leadership.
• Maintain licensure, credentials, and continuing education.
