Do you enjoy the excitement of urgent care, but not the long overnight hours? Are you looking for a boost in income while maintaining a flexible schedule without the long overnight shifts? Champion Animal Hospital has an exciting, one-of-a-kind opportunity for a Veterinarian like you.

About the Position:

We are seeking full-time and part time Veterinarians to grow our team at Champion Animal Hospital located in the heart of Warren, Ohio. The incoming Veterinarian will have flexible scheduling options that can include GP and Urgent cases! While we have an option for part time/relief shift team members as well, we are seeking a full time experienced Veterinarian to lead the team. This full time role will be 30-40 hours per week and no overnights to ensure a true work/life balance and a premium salary.

About the Hospital:

Champion Animal Hospital contains 4 exam rooms and 1 surgery room, perfect for the size of Warren. The incoming Veterinarian will enjoy practicing medicine with one of the best-equipped hospitals in the area containing in-house laboratory tests, digital radiography, and the safest available anesthesia for surgical procedures. We are not only a laser center that can offer advanced and alternative treatment options but also can complete Medical, Surgical and Dental Care for our patients!

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
  • Treat and dress wounds
  • Perform surgery on animals
  • Test for and vaccinate against diseases
  • Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
  • Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
  • Prescribe medication
  • Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
  • Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
  • Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
  • Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
  • Strong fondness and understanding of animals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of animal behavior
  • Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
