Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group seeks an experienced Express Care Medical Director to oversee up to four Express Care sites in the Pioneer Valley region, driving clinical excellence, quality, safety, and service line growth. This role blends clinical leadership with administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced urgent care network.

The position is full-time with a 70% clinical and 30% administrative mix, offering a hybrid work model and collaboration with physicians, APPs, and operational

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited residency program.
• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine‑Pediatrics.
• Unrestricted Massachusetts medical license.
• Current DEA certification.
• Prior leadership experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or ambulatory care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for up to four Mass General Brigham Medical Group Express Care locations.
• Partner with operational and clinical leaders to advance quality, patient safety, patient experience, and performance.
• Supervise and mentor Physicians, Lead APPs, and APPs.
• Support provider recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development.
• Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and best practices.
• Monitor quality metrics, patient experience, and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to strategic planning, service line growth, budgeting, and operational initiatives.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle and administrative teams to ensure documentation, coding, and billing compliance.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and clinical excellence.
