Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Tullahoma, TN seeks experienced Medical Assistants to join our team. You will perform phlebotomy, injections, vital signs, and prepare patients for provider evaluation in urgent care and occupational health settings.

The role requires HS diploma, BLS, and CMA certification is preferred, with X-ray experience considered advantageous. Full-time schedule includes rotating 36–40 hour weeks, with weekend rotation and PRN options. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Experience performing X-Rays is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and communicate next steps and wait times.
• Perform initial evaluations and record histories, vital signs, and allergies.
• Prepare patients for provider evaluation and assist with clinical duties.
• Photograph, document, and shield to ensure radiation safety during X-Rays.
• Document visit information, injections, phlebotomy, and lab results.
• Maintain infection control and patient confidentiality standards.
• Assist with patient transfers, procedures, and specimen collection.
• Support front desk staff with check-in and check-out as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and complete all required visit documentation.
