Job summary

FastMed is hiring a Medical Assistant in Salisbury, NC to support providers with exams, procedures and patient care. Responsibilities include triaging patients, taking vitals, drawing blood, collecting specimens, and assisting with medications under provider direction.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic program or active CMA/RMA, or 6 months’ experience; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program, OR active RMA/CMA designation, OR 6 months’ experience.
• Prior healthcare setting experience such as ED, urgent care, or ambulatory clinic preferred.
• BLS certification required; AHAs/other safety certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information.
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and lab work.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures and preparing treatment rooms for examinations.
